Even after 20 years at this location, the owner Italo is there every evening to make certain that everything is right! This is the best Northern Italian cuisine east of Montreal, IMHO. The larger centre of Halifax, NS has a more pompous and pricey place, but Sirenella consistently delivers fresh and delicious meals in an atmosphere which is conducive to romance later in the evening, but is family-friendly earlier on. Italo's wife Lise makes the delicious deserts as well. Zagat ranked Sirenella #1 for service (thanks, Shawn, Hiro, Christian, & Corin) and #2 for food, so you can see why I come back every vacation, and why I think that it is PEI's best overall bet. If you are only in PEI for a short time don't miss Ristorante Sirenella!
Best meal I have ever had at a restaurant! Perfectly cooked, fresh calamari, homemade ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach topped with white wine cream sauce and chocolate cheesecake that I assume was made with mascarpone cheese...to die for. My only let down was that I wanted real italian tiramisu...they were sold out. I was not disappointed by the cheesecake though.
