Jacks' food is amazing when it is right , how ever it takes them multiple times to finally figure out what it is that you ordered. I always get the exact same thing when I come to jacks , and some how something always gets messed up. the only reason why we keep coming back here is for the amazing food once it is corrected.
I have never been to this jacks location when one person at my table didn't have a mess up.
tonight's mess up was hair in my food, it doesn't bother me that much... had it been the first time this has happened .. I am actually sitting at the same table where the last time there was hair in my pasta.
I love the food , love the staff, just hate the mistakes. they need more communication and maybe hair nets ?????
joined some friends at Jack Astors for drinks and stayed for a few hours. My bill had additional drinks on it that did not belong to us. they said sorry but had a new system and did not know how to refund so they offered more drinks to Compensate as we stood there with our coats on. they finally did refund but short changed me, simple math, simple process bad vibes!!!!!

We just stopped in for a few snacks after a move. I loved the soup and the garlic bread is to die for! The service was great too. We will be back again soon with larger appetites for a full meal.

In horor, I was speechless. The district manager offered us coupons, I told her to keep them and we've never been back. Not that it matters to them, but they lost serious regulars to their competitors.
Great Steak, flavour was excellent and it was cooked to perfection. Huge baked potato loaded was extremely good as well. Caesar salad could have used some bacon bits in it but otherwise very tasty. My husband had the clubhouse which he said was really good with a nice flavour and he even liked the fries considering they were not fresh cut but frozen. We will definitely be going back again.

The food is always consistent and that is why I eat there. The place is a little loud but that is the theme, if you want intimate dinning go pay $100+ at a fancy schmancy place downtown. I've always had quick service and good looking servers to boot. Not that it matters or anything....LOL. I give Jack's on Mapleview a 10 and would recommend it to anyone that wants a tasty meal a fair price.

We went (five women) for a small birthday gathering.The food was amazing.Burger and fries was outstanding.Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food.Atmosphere was ok and it was a nice time....The only thing I have to say is that our waiter took a half hour to serve us drinks.And he was barley around..Food was out in record time for what we had.We will definately be back.
Jack's is the best will the one in Barrie anyways. I love Jacks and its my sons fav. place to go he is 6 he would pick that place over any other place. Anyone who goes on about how the place is a circus or bad service is probably just a critic no matter where they go. Whenever I've had problems with the service which you will get at times no matter what people are only human and have bad days, I once got my entire bill paid for I was totally shocked for the way it was handled I didn't just get my plate paid a bill of almost 100 dollars was covered. You can't get no better than that and I didn't even complain to get that covered. They did that totally on their own cause my steak wasn't cooked to the way it was suppose to. So I would recommend Jacks to everyone ITS THE BEST PLACE TO GO.

Our server was very accomadating and was great at describing the menu. It was our friends birthday and she had a great time. Great food, great atmosphere and great service! We will be back!

Jack Astor's is just that ...the best place to go for FAMILY dining....it's not obnoxiously loud, but has definate atmosphere geared towards having kids with you. If you want a quieter place to sit take the bar area. The food is always awesome, just enough to fill your tummy. Who can say they can make garlic bread in any way as good as jack's....try the chicken fingers with which ever degree of buffalo sauce you can handle and you will never go back to wings again! Service is always great, they know when to over serve and when to just back off and let you enjoy your meal....one of my families favorite and often frequented restaurants!!!
