Came here for the pad Thai and was not disappointed. ? My kids had the deep fried chicken wings and my husband had the black pepper steak and everyone left full and satisfied. Great restaurant and staff. Would come back
When you walk in you are greeted by a great display of this restaurant being a local sponsor for kids sports. Hats off for helping local kids. The food was hot when it arrived at the table but not much flavour. The singapore noodles didn't have much flavour and it looked like they used frozen veg for the dish. they were wilty and blah. Egg roll was standard, soup - blah.
I first tried Tang Dynasty on New Year's Eve just over a year ago. They were very busy as I expected, and they took my order and gave me a time to come back to pick it up. Even though they were extremely busy, true to form, their estimate was right on and my order was ready for when they said it would be. I was pleasantly surprised to find how delicious the food all was. I stated then, that if they could turn out food this delicious on this their busiest day of the year, then I could rest assure their food would be just as tasty on any other day. I have been back since, and Tang Dynasty is the only store I use for my chinese food orders. They haven't dissapointed!!! Delicious, not greasy and great value for the dollar for both lunch and dinner specials. And to make sure I get my order for New Year's Eve, I pre-ordered this year and will continue to pre-order in the year's to come (:

My wife and I have been here a few times in the past and it seems in recent times the service has dropped considerably. The last times we were there, in the summer, I distinctly remember the service being excellent, we had the same waitress both times. Though when we went now, the lady who served us seemed a bit rude, impatient and just not plain good at serving! The food though, was decent enough.
Best Chinese food in Ontario!! We live in London and every time we are in Bowmanville, we visit the Tang Dynasty. Jessica's husband, Dale, A.K.A. the Social Butterfly, is really hot!!
We LOVE going to this restaurant... we've gone several times & look forward to going each time. Food is soooo yummy, staff is incredibly polite & nice & the decor is very authentic. Overall one of the best restaurants we've ever been to. (roy1938 has got it all wrong!). Keep up the good work Tang Dynasty!

We order take-out every weekend from Tang Dynasty and it has become a favourite for our family. The Thai Curry dishes are great and not spiced overly hot. The Orange chicken (Menu item #86) is absolutely the best ever. We are not fussy on the noodle dishes i.e. low mein. The pan fried dumplings are especially good and come with a dipping sauce. Also the Thai ginger duck is worth trying. We have tried many thai restaurants in the Durham region area; however the food from the Tang Dynasty has become our favourite.
The food was not what we expected. I wouldn't recomened anyone who likes normal food try any of the ethnic dishes. They're just weird! The service was good but waitress was not chinese. In a chinese food restaurant the wait staff should also be oriental.
My family LOVES this restaraunt the food is amazing...we are new to Bowmanville and are so happy there is such a yummy place to eat...the service is great and it's quick!!

We are great fans of their famouse Coconut soup! It is delicious and we have never tasted anything like it prior to visiting Tangs a year to two ago. We will continue to go back to Tangs not just for their delicious coconut soup but for their many other tasty and delicious dishes which they serve.

I order from Tang's Dynasty all the time because I love Chinese food. I find it to be the best in Bowmanville, and I've tried all of its competitors' food. Service is good, food is great (and it's one of the rare Chinese food restaurants that actually makes food that tastes like it's healthy.) I'll definitely be ordering it again.
Used to be Hojun Palace, when they changed we were worried the whole menu would change, but its the same great food. We order take out and its always hot, fresh and at our door fast. Last year we had a large group of guests, dinner for 30, decided to do chinese, we pre-ordered, it was simple, the food came when we expected it, all hot and fresh. All of our guests who were from out of town said it was the best chinese food they have had.
