This review is very long overdue! My wedding was almost 25 years ago and L & J saved my special day from disaster! I bought my dress at another warehouse store as they had a better price. When the warehouse store altered the dress they changed the look of the designer gown, basically ruining it! L & J ordered me in the exact same dress, altering it perfectly within that last week before my wedding day! It was an incredibly stressful situation. I am forever grateful to the ladies at L & J!!!

Terrible customer service

My daughter was very excited that our appointment with L & J Briday was this morning. We traveled from Newmarket almost one hour for our 11:00 appointment. We specifically wanted to see Eva Milady dresses which they had said were in stock. We arrived to the coldest possible greeting by the two women at the front desk. It seems one was to be our wedding specialist. She treated my daughter like she was an ugly toad. She told her the dress she tried on did not look good on her. I asked her to show us ones that would look good and she said she had nothing for us. I cannot believe that this company is still in business. This is not the first bridal store we have visited. Even stores where we did not book an appointment and travel for almost an hour have helped her try on dresses and made her feel great to be a young beautiful bride. These women apparently decided we could not afford their dresses or whatever so we will take our budgeted $5,000 to $10,000 and spend it elsewhere.

Rude, unprofessional, insulting, offensive

Just a few words to describe my experience - and this was only over the phone. The woman on the phone was excited when I said i was looking for Jim Hjelm designer dress. But when I told her I was plus size - her tone completely changed and her response was " oh..that's a problem. We only have sample sizes in 8-10 and there's nothing here for you. Maybe you should go to a place that caters to your..um..size. We can't help you here." Look, I"m not a whale, just a regular sized person in the real world. My thin 19 year old daughter couldn't even fit into their sample sizes. I guess I'll take my $5000 budget elsewhere. I think anyone who thinks little of others like this (and i'm sure if she thinks I'm beneath her because I'm plump, I bet she'll think the same way about you if you don't conform to her other idiotic standards) should be left alone with her designer dresses and no business. Stay away...stay away. There's better places and people out there.
