Excellent roast beef on a bun. Great food all around. Definitely worth the drive.
Gross all around. Service was a joke. Immature young lady needs a lesson in civility. Tried to serve me re-fried fries. I refused and they finally made "fresh" fries. The roast beef sandwich was gross. Will not be returning.
My husband and I had our first date here 31 years ago and loved it. Great staff and food
I just watched the Cook never once use gloves as she prepared sandwiches, also saw her drop a mayonnaise bottle on a customer's sandwich and continue making it. Disgusting!
Somehow I always end up here with friends late at night and always regret it! Food is nothing to get excited about and is definately overpriced for what it is. Greek salad is mostly iceburg lettuce slathered in some generic dressing. Sandwiches come with an anemic serving of meat. All the bread is pre-made garbage. Zero value here, hopefully I won't end up back here again at the mercy of their terrible chefs, food and service.
Got two burgers with gravy and some bread. The food was OK but I personally over salted it. I have a feeling it might have been slightly too salty even before I heaped on the salt. But the burgers were pretty nice and the bread was fresh.
I love Tally Ho. It's so delicious. It's good for a night you really want to eat food that's probably pretty terrible for you. Service has always been friendly and quick, and it's always nice and clean. :)
French fries, beef and loads of gravy=perfect food to top off a night of drinking! It's definitly not gourmet but it sure hits the spot when you want something tasty, quick and filling.
Excellent food - always fresh and always hot. Been going to this restaurant for longer than I can remember. Although we don't live in the area anymore, this is one place we always come to when home for a visit. Would highly recommend. Suitable for babies through to seniors.
Was just there for my first visit for lunch. The sign outside said roast beef sandwiches so I thought that must be their specialty. The price was alright for the basket however I found the sandwich to be nothing exciting. The roast beef was overcooked and the "moisturization" while reheating didn't do much to revive it. Then it was slapped on a cheap, stale grocery store white bun with a couple pumps of gravy. Not very satisfying. The gravy not was not 'to die for' as others have said, rather it was below mediocre at best. Top it off with cheap, frozen grocery store fries and a lacklustre coleslaw, this was a meal that could be found in any high school cafeteria in the country. Somewhat disappointing considering it sounded like a hidden gem of a lunch restaurant. Doubtful I would return.
Service was quite prompt and very very friendly. The staff is very out going and seems as though they genuinely have your best interest at heart. The food is to die for, its really good. The portions aren't skimpy at all, you get what you pay for and more. You leave with a full tummy and a smile on your face. Some people have said that the restaurant needs to be updated..but personally I think what they lack in decor, the make up for in their food. Its spectacular, a little messy, but your taste buds will love you.
Obviously from the decor you shouldn't be expecting fine dining here -- Tally Ho is good homemade fast food. The portions are huge, the beef is cooked well, the buns are soft and squishly and the gravy is TO DIE FOR. We always order extra gravy to dip every bite in, it's awesome. I personally have never ordered the Greek food because the beef and fries with gravy are so darn good. If my husband wouldn't be embarrased by me I'd drink it. If you're in the mood for some awesome greasy spoon type chow you won't be dissappointed.
tally ho never lets me down- i recommend the hot hamburger.
The Big beef basket is great. Deffinetly one to have if you haven't. And I'm sure everyone whos been there would agree.
The food was dope. Definitely check it out, well worth it.
love the food and the locaion access to servic would be nice. the doors close at 2am then close them at 2 am dont allow certain people to centre and not others
Tally Ho's is a great place. Late night hours and with excellent roast beef sandwiches. The decor is a bit out dated, but excellent service, good fries and at least three finger's of beef on the bun.
The food is delicious, they cook it right in front of you. They make their own taziki sauce, greek salad dressing and gravy. All of them are the best I've ever found in a Greek restaurant. Highly, highly recommended.
I ordered Roast Beef sandwich. The beef was way too dry!
I agree with one review that Tally Ho is located on the 'stumble' home from a local pub at which point cardboard would be editable, however, Tally Ho is just quality food people!! The roast beef on a bun is top notch, I mean; a bun, roast beef, gravy; need I say more?? The restaurant is always clean considering it is a diner, and the ladies behind the counter are always very courteous and polite. Men, why drop $100 on a fine dining restaurant when you can drop $15 on a solid meal, perfect for a 1st date!
