Over priced! Service and food was okay. However, there was a blonde woman in her forties who presented herself as the owner (Mary I think). When she wasn't flirting and throwing herself at my friends she was making rude and racist comments. Could not believe it! I will never return! -Mike
I went to Ned Devines on about a week ago, witha few friends. The service and food was great. We had this really nice waitress. I think her name was Sinead. really pollite and friendly. I will defently be back to Ned Devines again and again. Great time had by all!
A friend of mine had suggested we meet at Ned's for lunch. My friend has been there often, but this was my first time in a long time being there for lunch. I was looking forward to sitting outside in the sunshine on their patio.
I was in the mood for something vegetegarian and scanned the menu again and again for some options. Unfortunately, the only options for a veggie like me were pretty limited, so I chose the quasidella and a strawberry salad since I was pretty hungry - and curious about the food).
The waitress was nice, efficent and made eye contact when she was taking orders/asking about the meal. Service was pretty fast - we only had to wait about 15 mins for our meals.
Now on to the meal itself - the strawberry salad was flavourful... but just average - I could easily make it exactly the same at home - if not better.
The quesidilla was... eatable. You could taste that the vegtables had been cooked to use in other dishes as they were not crisp and almost mushy. The cheese used tasted oddly processed, not like a real montgomery/jack/cheddar mix. Basically it was a dissappointment.
Overall, the astmosphere was good (bein on the patio and people-watching), the service was efficent, but the food itself could have been so much better with a little more time spent on it instead of just throwing it together.

Ned Devine's for a few years now and have always enjoyed myself with the best service, food and atmosphere in town.
We used to frequent Ned's often. But the service started getting bad, the food quality declined and we stopped enjoying our experience there.
We thought we'd give it a shot and took our family there last night.
We sat in the benches near the back - it smelled bad. Like a sour smell. Cross between urine and mildew. Unpleasant but we had small children and were settled so I sucked it up and tried not to breathe too much through my nose.
The kids' menu prices were the highest I've seen for a pub in the area - $7,99 but hey, it might be great. My son's first disappointment was that they did not have chocolate milk. A tiny cup of ice with apple juice had to suffice. I ordered my little ones pasta with chicken and vegetables and alfredo sauce. I didn't realize that "vegetables" meant a small handful of frozen peas. I dismissed it seeing that the dessert for the children was ice cream topped with fresh fruit! The dessert included a little premade styrofoam cup of ice cream with HALF a strawberry on top.
Service was less than mediocre. When asked for one more minute to decide, she returned almost 10 minutes later. Our young children were quickly expiring. Our dirty plates were left in front of us for a LONG time after we were finished. No one came to ask us if we wanted anything else or if we were finished. My husband finally had to get up and ask someone at the bar if they could print up our bill. Once they were printing it, our server helpfully arrived giving us a bill she printed from another station despite not having asked us if we were finished.
Not to mention the Tuesday special is 50 cent wings. Not a great deal but alright expect that you have to each purchase a beverage if you want to eat the wings. Our server was quick to point out that if I wanted the special priced wings, I had to get a drink as well as my husband, despite the fact that I only drink water. She recommended a bottle of water. All said and done, the wing price plus beverage I would not have purchased was almost regular price. And the wings, tasted great....at first. Both my husband and I noticed that half of the wings we ordered were great, the other half were very dried out and just tasted awful. No one came to ask how our food was so we didn't get the chance to offer any feedback.
We are usually pretty easy to please but what we had hoped would be a great, fun family outing turned out to be a really lousy experience.
Living in Milton, and working a good 30 minutes away, I pass by a lot of bars and pubs, there are 3 within a 5 minute walk of my work. I always end up back at Ned's the drink selection is excellent, the food is always good, and the atmosphere is awesome. In the summer the roof top patio is so much fun, they have live bands up there a few times a week and I haven't experienced one I didn't like. My friends and I are there once or twice a week. Never a complaint! We all will be returning again!
I have been a loyal Ned's customer since they opened but have officially had it as they have lost their edge over any other pubs in Milton. I frequent Ned's once a month with family and friends for anything from dinner to UFC events or just a beer after work. I have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere here until recently. They stopped carrying Tennents beer for quite some time now which I have adapted to. In my most recent visit I took my family on a Sunday morning for lunch. Which I found their new "revamped" menu to be a total let down as they removed many great items and replaced them with a few lousy ones. My wife ordered the black bean chicken salad which I tried and it had to be the most bland, unseasoned chicken I have tasted in my life. The lettuce pieces were left the size of the plate. My wife brought to the attention of our server the chicken and the lettuce. She actually seemed concerned as we pointed out this was a new item and the cook should be aware of this. She responded by saying I will see what I can do about it, but there was no followup from the manager which generally does happen when you point something like that out. They have also changed their fish and chips from halibut to haddock, but have kept the 14.95 price tag. This was acceptable for halibut but to pay the same price for a fish that costs half as much? Come on! I was always happy to pay the extra few bucks that this place charges over other pubs in town because you seemed to get a better product and better service, that has definitely changed now. I will not be going back again. The only highlight left in this place is Mike the bartender, he always greets people at the door instantly, knows his regulars drinks, and keeps people entertained at the bar.
We have been to Ned Devines 3 times now and just love it. Great atmosphere, service was fast and freindly and the food is fantastic. I order something different every time we go so I can try everything on the menu. Great selection of pub grub. The Guiness steak pie is to die for!! And the Harp beer is the best. Would reccomend to everybody.
Went to Ned's Irish Pub for the St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Atmosphere was great, lots of fun. Drank green beer. I was having a great time until i went into the washroom; a female worker came in for a quick inspection. She then turned to me and said "WASH YOUR HANDS!!" like I were some child. She then uttered the "F" word as she walked away!!!! This behavior was by the worker beyond rude, it was absolutely discusting!! It ruined my evening as well as my respect for Ned's Irish Pub. Never going back there again.
The food and atmostphere of "Ned's" has always been the greatest attraction. Ned's has the best nachos I've ever had. However, nine times out of ten, the service is not friendly. I have the servers to rush us, and be less then keen on providing a welcoming attitude.

we visited ND over the summer and loved it. The service staff was great and sexy which always makes my boyfriend smile, and prompt, and paid special attention to detail. Not to mention the waitresses and hostesses were all good looking... I am not a pub fanatic, and I was still impressed by the menu. The fish were done right and very fresh, not to mention big. The drink menu was also creative and fun. My mouth is watering thinking about it....

Visited a number of times! Love the atmosphere and the service but the food is a little basic for the prices. We would be there quite a bit more often if the food was a better value.

This Restaurant/bar does not accept Debit cards. Obviously not a service oriented establishment, they want you to pay to spend your money at their ATM machine in their restaurant. I find that idea insulting.
Food was average, beer selection was excellent, as was the server.
I won't go back until they install debit service, if not ...oh well many other restaurants to choose from.
Love the food at this restauarant...we have almost tried everything on the menu. The first time i came here, i had fish and chips, i did not like the batter so i only ate the fish, the server noticed and told her manager, they took the meal off the bill and gave me a $10 voucher for my next visit. I thought this was great, even if they did not give me the free meal, at least they asked why i did 't like it.

We found out after the meal that we could of had half price wings with the leaf game but no one told us! We decided to have dessert since we were with our friends. The pictures looked great but what we received was horrible! My girlfriend sent her's back.
The beef was done to my liking and the veg, potatoes were exemplary. I believe the chef is what really makes the pub, although the service is fine as well.My wife had the seafood pasta because she has had it before and says it has always been one of the best selections on the menue.

I ordered the vegetarian stir fry and it had an awful smoke flavour that was overwhelming. I couldn't eat the dish. They removed it from the bill, but I'm not sure I'd go back :(
(I later burnt rice at home, and it had that same flavour, so hopefully it was a one-time oops)
