    AMAZING STORE AND AMAZING STAFF

I ABSOLUTELY love this store. The staff is super friendly and so helpful. I am an avid quilter and knitter and I always find the most unique yarn and fabric. This is by far my most favourite quilting and knitting store. I do not know what Ayashino was even talking about in her review below. There is plenty of parking in the lot behind as well as street parking. I find the staff very helpful and way more friendly than big box stores. Also I am under 40 and they are wonderful to me. Also I think Ayashino might be making things up in her review because I have never seen embroidery yarn that expensive as she complains about. This store inspires me to be creative and they teach me so many wonderful things. I can't recommend it enough!

    Ruti's

I don't know what the previous person is speaking of, I've been going to Ruti's for years and wouldn't consider going elsewhere. Parking is in the lot, so walk a little, it's good for you, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Sure it's crowded but take your time and hunt through and you're sure to find what you want. With today's cost of doing business, I don't blame her for keeping it small, it's worked for years and she's successful. That's what counts. As far as I'm concerned, I'd much rather shop at Ruti's than big box stores, because these people know what they are talking about and are always willing to share.

    More like RuDi's.

I can't express enough how much I dislike this store. First, there is no parking. That's right, the parking in back of this store is private parking and not for Ruti's. So just going here can get you a ticket or your car towed. Second, only Ruti herself knows anything about Embroidery (and her last comment to me about it made me doubt that.) so you can't simply walk into the store and ask a question and except it to be answered, you actually have to call first and hope Ruti's there. Third, the employ's know almost nothing, I don't know how many questions I asked and either got blank stares or simply 'I don't know, you'll have to ask '___') Fourth, their hospitality is seriously lacking. If you aren't 40+ don't expect them to look at you like a valued costumer. Fifth, 24$ for a spool of Embroidery thread? Sixth, this place is way too small and crowded, if 4-5 people are in there at once you can barely move, sometimes the staff even have a hard time finding stuff. Also, they store yarn in their bathroom...really? It's called fecal matter and I'd prefer not to have it on things I want to buy. I go to this store only as a last resort, they have tons of fabric (which i'm sure is a plus and it seems more geared to quilter's) but the negatives seriously outweigh the positives for me.
