Stayed there w my daughter at the Hotel while my husband was in the hospital. People were great and the food was fantastic!
The foods amazing for one and the ppl r funny and sweet. Plus it is a family run business and it has been around for about 20year if not longer!!!
I recently attended their weekend brunch with some friends and we had a great time! They had a good variety of breakfast and lunch items. Service was excellent - Shelley was just wonderful, she kept our coffee cups filled to the brim.
May 27/11. While visiting from out of town we went to The Buttery for dinner. We were warmly greeted by the owner and shown to a nice table. The dining room is nicely appointed and spacious. Our waitress was very prompt and friendly. Our meals were hot and flavourful. We would recommend this restaurant. Thumbs up.
the eggs are not always cooked thoroughly with the eggs benedict. It seems to depend on how busy the restaurant is. I would enjoy the toast more if it came buttered instead of me having to butter it when it reaches the table. Very nice restaurant but the food isn't as good on a busy day because they seem to have to push the orders through so quickly.Coffee is the best I've ever had
It's so nice to walk into a family run restaurant and feel like part of the family. The owners and staff definately take pride in their establishment and do a great job in making the customer feel right at home from the smiles that greet you when you enter to the handshakes that thank you when you leave. This is definately not a "big box" restaurant but it manages to transition itself from the casual breakfast and lunch restaurant to a more intimate and relaxed finer dinner restaurant. The food was excellent - great portions and value and quality and I definately know why they've been in business for over 18 years
My whole experience didn't start off well. I called ahead, the night before and asked if they were serving the breakfast buffet in the morning and they said yes. I even made sure of what they had in the buffet. The person on the phone clearly stated that they served all-you-can eat eggs, pancakes, and various breakfast items in the morning. The next morning comes, my friend and I are looking forward to delicious breakfast buffet after a long week. We sit down in the restaurant and felt a little confused; we didn't see the buffet. Our waitress came to greet us and we asked if there was a buffet today. She said "No sorry, that's only on Sundays". I told her how I had called ahead the night before and she didn't seem to care. My friend and I were very dissapointed and then once we were served our food, things only got worse. The scrambled eggs were drenched in butter and we couldn't finish them. The portions were way to small. Just an overall NEGATIVE experience!
What can I say - this was a last minute birthday party that was arranged the night before. Owners and staff were absolutley amazing in helping with the arrangements and birthday cake! Dinner was enjoyed by all. Food and service was excellent. I highly recommend The Buttery and don't forget to order the best Ceasar salad in York Region!
We loved the food quality and atmosphere in the restaurant, but what especially amazed us was the excellent attitude of the staff and their willingness to help you have a great time. We think that it was one of the best restaurants we've gone to in a long time. We will definitely come back again!
The cost was slightly over $25.00 (tax & tip in) per person which is excellent value for dinner including liquior for two of the four. The meal, service, and atmosphere was excellent.
My husband and I have visited this restaurant on many occassions and each and every time we have enjoyed our experience. The staff is wonderful and the food is delicious and consistent, with an excellent price point. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting and we continue to visit because nothing predicts the future better than all of our past experiences.
I found out about this restaurant from this site and booked my mother's 75th birthday there based on the positive reviews. It was a bit of a risk but I am so happy I did it. The food was excellent, the service was wonderful and everyone said that they would return. We are definitely going to go back to try the Sunday Brunch.
This was our first time at this restaurant and I was very impressed. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. I loved the atmosphere and how it is decorated.
Have eaten here on numerous occasions for your Sunday Brunch and Dinner. There is absolutely nothing that tops it in York Region. The caesar salad is to "die for"! Elitsia, Jimmy and Gus are fantastic and the staff is very professional and friendly. Would recommend this wonderful restaurant without hesitation.
This is a friendly place, with very good food, and a good presentation. The owners Gus and Jim are friendly and care about their clientele. The waiting staff is on the ball and share the work very well together. The place is clean and bright.
I have been going here for breakfast on and off for many years. Their Eggs Benedict is the best I have found anywhere (and believe me, I have tried it many places!)
