After extended research on authentic Colombian dishes, I came across cafe de las America’s. My daughter is 1/2 Colombian on her dads side I ordered 2 bandeja paisa and 6 empanadas I was charged over 42$$$ A bandeja paisa is 12$ And empanadas are 1.50$ each The food was to go I was overcharged and very upset Felt I was taken advantage off because my Spanish is poor So hurt So sad Trying to help out local businesses and this is what you get Very upsetting This took place Feb 14/18
Having never tried authentic Colombian food before I was somewhat nervous. However, the friendly staff was helpful and pleasant, especially the waitress Elizabeth (muy bonita!). If you're looking for something new, I'd highly recommend this restaurant. It's hard to find nice family run restaurants serving up delicious home cooking these days. Glad I found one at Cafe Las Americas, keep it up!.
HMM!!! Finger lickin good!! That is what comes to mind when thinking about how to describe the food I ate at this small, cozy restaurant. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The staff is very friendly and pleasant; and the background music takes you back down memory lane. It is a family restaurant that makes who feel like you are part of "the family". You get a sensation like you are eating at home a delicious "home-cooked" meal. The freshness of the food is not only present in the presentation of the meal but the flavour just transports you to "mamas kitchen". It was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended if authentic Colombian food is what you are craving while listening the the beautiful rythms of latin america. Buen Provecho!!!!
