At one time this restaurant was very good. Although they have the same menu the food is no longer as good. New owners..new cook..not sure. Very disappointing. The food was not hot. There are better restaurants in town.
Food is still the best but staff shouting at each other in front of customers is becoming an issue. Been there twice in the last month and the same two servers have been at each other. They should take their issues out behind the kitchen door
August 1st, 2014. Extremely disappointing, worse food ever! Shrimp was simply batter, no flavour...except greece. Rice was greasy, pork was coated with batter. Chow Mein, not bad, purpose the best of the worse. Did not call to complain, as they probably would give a credit, and we have no intention of ever food from them again.
everything tasted delicious! especially loved the chicken balls, and the service was wonderful too. You'll be seeing me there weekly ! Dining room also has a beautiful view of the lake! Very recommended !
I stopped eating Chinese food about 14yrs ago. However, I thought I'd give it a shot one day and thank God I ordered from there. Very good food and you can't beat the price. Since then I have been a loyal customer. Thank you Royal Oak keep up the great food!
There is no place like my favorite Chinese restaurant "silver wok" back home in Kingston. here in Orillia, but this is as close as its gets. The food was delicious.

Typical Canadian-style Chinese food, pretty much interchangeable with any other restaurant of the same sort. Nothing to distinguish it in any way, good or bad. Visit once, carry on.
They have a nice view in the back dining room, but the chairs were not too comfy. I ordered the general tao chicken because I like my dishes with a little bit of spicy kick to em.. this was good but I could have had it kicked up a knotch..my fault next time I will ask for more spice.
Food was fresh and excellent. Service was fast and servers were nice. They even serve Dim Sum for people that want a taste of real Chinese experience. Everything is made when order, nice and hot. They have a Great selection of Cantonese Dishes

We eat here all the time for many years now. Very good quality food for a decent price. Highly recommended.
Food was excellent, nothing to complain about at all. We will mention though, that the Chicken Soo Guy came with gravy, and if you prefer it with sweet & sour sauce one should be sure to specify that when ordering. The family came up for the weekend at the Stone Gate Inn, and decided to give Royal Oak a try (which we ordered in). Fantastic, we'll definitely be sure to order again.
We eat here often! I love the fact that the food is "real" and prepared on the premises. Only a very few items - such as chicken balls - are premade. The food is excellent, and the service friendly. We're all on a first-name basis. Nothing fancy, just great food.
WONDERFUL PEOPLE A GREAT MEAL AND GOOD VALUE FOR YOUR DOLLAR. I HAVE EATEN AT MANY CHINEESE RESTAURANTS AND HAD FOOD POISONING BUT NEVER HERE. TRY IT!!!!!!!!
