My fave fish and chips place! I've tried tried a couple of places in Toronto but this one for me has been the best. The crowd here generally is seniors. Food and service is great. I always get halibut for fish and chips. They make it nice and crispy, tastes fresh, and not too oily. The chips r fresh and filling. My friends enjoyed the food too when I take them.
If you are looking for a quick bite, this is the place to be. The food is made right in front of you. Friendly staff serves it to you. Great for take out as well. It is a bit pricey for Fish and Chips though.

I really enjoyed the meal today. The last time I was here the fish was really dry and thr fries were soggy.But today,it was great, but the only complaint I had for today is the soft drinks were fountain drinks and the taste was not great. I will go again and again.

I had great expectations coming to this place as I had a craving for F&C for several days. I lived in UK for a few years and sampled much F&C, some fabulous some ordinary. This was the most expensive F&C I've ever had this side of the Atlantic ($11) and was utterly dissappointed. Usually if the fish is dissappointing (portion size, flavour, crispiness, freshness...whatever the reason) then at least the chips are good. This was not the case here. They tasted of freezer burn and were more like fries than the usual chunkier chips. To make matters worse, the 'malt' vinegar had no flavour and seemed watered down. This combo included a half order of onion rings (@8pc) of average taste and (I don't exagerate) a thimble-full sized portion of fresh slaw of average taste. The fish was a disappointing portion size (@6oz plus batter) with average taste. Judging by the other reviews, either the townsfolk of Brimley/Ellesmere have no palate for F&C or (more likely) they are family, friends or investors in this unfortunate restaurant. I would have done better in a food court with both taste, quality and most definately value. Fish Joy: Be afraid. Be very afraid!

The food was not worth the cost, the fries were cold. The pepsi was flat and they brought the wrong flavour of shake. It was not busy and yet it took more then 20 minutes for the order to be ready. The workers discussed inappropriate topics loud enough for us to hear. I did not have an enjoyable meal.
They have great food great service and it well worth the drive to here... Recommend it all.. We go once a week at times and never had anything wrong with the service or the food...great place to eat...
