BEST SHAWARMA

Now-a-days middle eastern food In Pickering seems to follow a hip trend in western society. If you want to come across one that has great ethnic, and fresh ingredients, Jhonny's Shwarma is the place to be. First off the meat they use to make sandwiches and plate dinners, are one of the most tender and juiciest meats ever. Their assorted vegetables are fresh, and their pickled turnip are one of my favourites in the sandwich. The tabouli is also amazing. There's not one thing in this restaurant that I have to complain about this restaurant. One of the most important things is the customer service. The owner is always there and he makes each sandwich with a warm smile. I have come to really love this restaurant, and hopefully so will you after you try it

Best shawarma

I visited Johnny's in Pickering and i think it was great. We went there for dinner last friday and the place was full. The owner was very nice and the food was great and healthy. I also tried the one in scarborough and it was also very good. I think Johnnys in Pickering and scarborough will be very succesfull. I'm so happy they opened .satisfaction is garanteed.

My frind told me about this place .after. l visit this place with my co worker. I fouund it so good we order shwsrma and falafel and saint order of tabouli salad the shawsrma was so tender and frish and tabouli so taste .we go thee now almost every day .we recommend this place strongly we will order for Christmas party from this taste real food

Hi, I have been eating shawarma all my life this the best thing to happen in pickering, it is the best the best,am pregnant with my 2nd child and craving johnnys,my 1st pregnacy I spent a lot of time at Scarborough's, when they opened in picketing my dream came true my baby is happy with his healthy food, I visited your location in picketing impressed with the warm reception and great service and excellant food, very good hummus and tabouleh, love you guys.

Definitely Visit

It was actually pretty decent despite the reviews I saw. I have to agree that it was a bit sour but the meat was fantastic. The sauce was great, I'd definitely visit again. I'd suggest you just order the rice and meat with extra meat and sauce. Everything else is really sour. The service was great. Johnny's a great guy, really nice too.

Soggy, Cold, Disgusting Mess

After reading the rave reviews from various online sources, my friend and I decided to take the trip down to Johnny's Shawarma. We came after 5 pm so the owner gave us the dinner special which came to about $8.95 after tax. While the prices were reasonable and the owner very nice, the food itself was terrible. The hummus was waaay too sour (it tasted like hummus I could buy at Loblaws or Metro). For some reason we got diced potatoes which tasted worse than something I make at home. The amount of meat we got was also insufficient. Overall, the entire plate was way too sour. Speaking as someone who has had one too many shawarmas in my univerisity years, this is probably the single worst Shawarma place I have visited. I am in awe at the good reviews this place has received. Perhaps they are under new management? Needless to say, my friend and I were both extremely disappointed. We ended up throwing away most of the plate as it was a soggy, cold, and disgusting mess.
