i always eat at this charley's steakery but only when the manager is nowhere in site. this bossy manager is just about the rudest person there is. she has no concept of quality - she's just a rude women.
I finally tried this charlies at penn centre and was very dissappointed....the food was bland and service was slow, and the employees were rude. The one at square one is so much better, its only one i go to to eat. Service is fast, fresh and everyone is smiling. So only go to the one at sqaure one..jason
Charleys is a great fast food restaurant. The staff is friendly and some will entertain you by flipping spatulas as you wait. Prices are higher then most fast food places, and it takes a little longer to get your food, but this is because the meat is cooked fresh in front of you. No microwaved or precooked meat here. Steak and Chicken are cooked from raw and mixed with ingredients. Portions are good reasonable. We've been eating here when we go to the Pen Centre for 5 years, and it's the only place in the food court we will eat at.
I thought the food was good, nice to see it freshly prepared, the wait was a little long , the portions a little small for the price. But the taste was excellent, best place in the food court I think.
The service was a bit slow, but it was a Saturday and I expected it to be busy. Some of the female servers were rude as well. The owners seemed very friendly however.
The food was very dry. It took 15 minutes to get the good and when you received the food it has fungus on the tomato's. The meat was very dry. The fries were cooked in 2 week old oil. Many customers were complaining after eating the food. The manager at Charley's didn't care about customer feed back. She just wanted the sales. DO NOT EAT AT CHARLEY'S STEAKERY. You will waste your money and still be hungry.
