Something about this location isn't working at all
I have eaten at Baton Rouge in other locations many times but I have to agree with previous reviews of this one in Whitby. Sorely disappointed by fatty, unflavourful ribs, cold vegetables that should have been hot and overpriced for quantity of food. Staff was mediocre at best.
The decor and atmosphere was fine (normal Baton Rouge layout).
went in hoping for nice food ,atmosphere was nice,servers were nice but the food was horrible,I don't think anyone here learnt about presentation.steamed veggies looked like someone's carrots from a wing special but reheated,aspargus was woody at best.the prime rib was not marbled but fatty-not just a little fat but huge chunks of fat(only 2oz of 10 oz were edible),it tasted similar to something you used to get at the woolco food area when your parents dragged you there.the drinks were so sweet that I felt like I was having a glucose tolerance test.the ribs were ok but for the price you're paying I expected more.
All handling and product of our prime rib program was reviewed and now in 2011 our prime rib is rated as one of the best in Durham region.

Great ribs, not great service. Very long time...
Great ribs, not great service. Very long time waiting on the drink orders. Finally got them and our appetizers - then they bring the ribs just as we get into the cheese dip. I realize restaurants need to turn tables but I don't appreciate being pushed out the door. I hope they learn some timing before we go back again.
Great restaurant! The atmosphere is great, it was nice to have a drink at the bar while waiting for our table. The service was perfect and the food fantastic. The Ribs were really melting. We will go back!
