Gave another chance and tried for the lunch - Yucks! Same sauces in most of the food. Beef has been used in lamb. If you are a meat lover you would know right away that something is fishy. Upon asking to waiter he smiled and walked away that he only works here but eats outside. It was a jaw dropping answer to hear from an employee. We paid our bill quietly got out. Thanks for sharing Mr waiter.
Worst food ever had in any Indian cuisine. Ambience is ok but Food is not good in taste.
Superb dining experience. Some of the tastiest and best-presented Indian food in Toronto. Friendly service, comfortable space, too. Highly recommended.
A few years ago this place was amazing. The lunch buffet couldn't be beat, and dinner entrees were even better. I went to their lunch buffet recently and man has it ever degraded in quality. The rice was kinda hard, their tandoori chicken was dry. The butter chicken tasted rushed, like i wasn't marinated enough and was lacking spices. the sawa chicken was cold. They don't like the rotate the food I guess, it's too bad. And they're pretty bad at refilling your water. The atmosphere is very nice though, and the washrooms are nice and clean. Other than that, I can't say this is real Indian food anymore.
Aroma is definitely one of the best indian places in Toronto. The food is very delicious, fresh and crispy, better than most indian places I've been so far. The atmosphere is somewhat like a fancy banquet hall so it might seem weird at first but I guess that's the indian custom for the fancy restaurants. The staff was very nice and always brought us anything we desired right away.
I've been to a few Indian restaurants and I always return to this one. Aroma even beats some of the restaurants in the little India area. The lunch buffet is very good and cheap. The service is very good and they keep on top of your water. I've gone for dinner as well, and the food is superb. Fresh, yummy, juicy, the best. The only thing I don't like is there are no paper towels in the washroom, just one hand dryer that does squat. Never mind Dhaba, Go To Aroma!
Two of us went for dinner before a concert. The food was generally tasty and the service was timely. The waiter kept our water-glasses topped up with ice water - something that too many restaurants don't bother to do. Unfortunately, however, all was not well. The beverage menu doesn't list the available beers - only the categories Domestic, Imported and Indian. I asked the waiter what Imported beers they offered, hoping for something European. He proceeded to name all the beers they had, all of which are brewed in Canada, except for the Indian beer, Kingfisher, which we both ordered. It was unremarkable. The soup and the naan bread came nice and hot, but all the other food arrived lukewarm. The lamb chunks contained unpleasant bits of fat and gristle, concealed by the tasty Korma sauce, but immediately apparent once in the mouth. The after-meal coffee was small, boring-tasting, and not hot. It came with one 3/8-oz. coffee creamer of 10% butterfat, another of 2% partly-skimmed milk, and a small bowl of sugar packets. I would have expected a restaurant that charges $30 for a meal without dessert to at least be able to make a decent cup of hot coffee, and not skimp on the cream.
There are a lot of Indian restaurtants to choose from in Toronto. This one is in the heart of the Theater District and they cater for the "before the show" folks - fast service!!! The food was good (I have had better).
visited this restaurant very late on a friday evening despite this the welcome was very friendly and the service prompt and helpful.the food was of a very good standard, and the vindaloo was the most wicked ive ever tasted!we ended up being the last to leave but were never rushed and felt that our custom was valued.highly recommend to anyone looking for good curry with service to match
Excellent food, well flavoured, but not too spicey. Went with someone who wasn't sure how she felt about indian food and she loved it! She said she would definitely come again, as would I. Servers were friendly and food was prompt and hot. No complaints at all.
Very nice food I've tried. Service was adequate despite I was the only one and the waiter were wonder and ponder around. I would come back again.
After a long flight from Germany, we were dying to try some nice food, and the concierge at the Intercontinental Hotel was very helpful to suggest this delightful restaurant with friendly servers and great food. Wish we had one like this in our town back home!
The size of the buffet spread and the quality of the food and the flavours were too amazing for the price of the buffet! Specially the chicken on the big hot plate was delicious. In spite of the restaurant being packed, we were taken care of very well. We had a couple of nice Indian beers, which the servers suggested, and we had a great time. We will definitely be visiting next time we're in town.
Great food, and even greater service! Of all the Indian restaurants I've been to, this is the greatest Chicken Tikka Masala I've ever had! I travel all around the world and I've tried Indian food in all major cities, and this was the most delihtful dining experience in terms of food and service. Bravo! Keep up the good work!
Went there as it was highly recommended by a friend. Food was good. Service was bad experience. We had to wait for some one to take order. Had to wait for drinks again. Our server not friendly and was stumbling over words to explain us a few question we had about the menu. We had to wait for some time to have our table cleaned. Then they just left us forgot about us!!!. Overall i would say never take your guests there to entertain them, though they have good food.
Service ? Awful! We were on our own. We waited for everything and had to beg for basic things. But in the meantime, we did found something to do: watch the tables of those who arrived after us being served before us. That is sad because the food was good. But don't worry, we will never come back to disturb you. Next time, I will find another indian restaurant where I feel welcomed.
