Robin Schafer’s calling was bred from a single opportunity as an apprentice floral designer over 30 years ago, when he lived in picturesque Kelowna, BC. Decades later, the jaunty owner/operator of Bunches & Blooms Floral located in New Westminster’s bustling River Market has continued to enhance the design skills learned from his Kelowna roots.
“Bunches & Blooms just had its first anniversary,” Robin says. Since opening in December 2013, reception has been quite good, though he admits, the journey has been, well, a journey. “I spent about 10 years basically freelancing, working for larger companies that did events. I was on call. It was rough,” he says. But Robin’s depth of experience is what separates Bunches & Blooms from its range of competitors. Floral design is an art and like all art, those with honed skills and creativity triumph.
