Scott Seeley had a dilemma: he liked to get out to Whistler to go biking and skiing on the weekends, but lived and worked in Vancouver. Scott grew weary of the frequent stops and lengthier trips provided by other coach lines as he would spend more time in transit than out on the hill. So, he decided to fix the problem by starting Epic Rides in 2010.
At first it was just one vehicle, a seven-passenger van, but the company has grown substantially since then, now operating two buses and a 14-passenger van seven days a week for most of the year. A round-trip costs only $35, making Epic Rides one of the most affordable and straight-forward way to get from the city to the mountains.
“Scott had that great idea to do something hassle-free,” says Abeer Assad, who joined the company in December 2014.
