Parkdale Fish & Chips

I called at 6:50pm to see what the catch of the day was , man was rude, he said you have ten mins to come in as we close at 7, I said oh sorry your web site says your open till 8pm on fridays.... he then says in a rude tone “no it does not say that in our site” maybe they should LOOk at their web site it clearly states they are open till 8pm on fridays!!!!! Lost a customer ?

Great Fish & Fritters

My husband and i went there at lunch time and the food was hot and good. It seems like a lot of batter on it but the batter is light and crisp. We enjoyed our meal and would go back again.

Just a suggestion....

So i went there on a friday...all i wanted was an order of fritters. Nope, sorry..we dont sell fritters on friday. WHY?...b/c WE ARE TOO BUSY. So i went back on saterday..ooppps...NOT open on saterday! This is NOT the right way to run a business..but hey..thats just me. I went to Bryce Fish & chip on ottawa & dunsmure, their fritters were awsome

Tasty!

Been to Parkdale several times, fish is always good and the fries are nice too. I don't think I've ever had anything else. It's known in the area as a good reliable old favourite. The service is always friendly, older waitresses who've probably been there a while which always makes me feel comfortable. The decor, I don't like it but it's clean and informal so it's fine. We don't go for the decor anyway, great fish and chips.

Cozy place

We decided to have a go here after our Dr. Who marathon on the weekend. It was like being invited into someone's home. The staff are happy and helpful. The fish was sizzling hot, was light and flakey on the inside and golden crispy on the outside,and the fries..well they were a mountain-sized portion! WOW!

Family deal is great value. Nice batter & nice slaw. Ok fries

Authentic British Fish & Chips

We cannot say enough about this fish and chip store.....our dinners were out of this world, contrary to one review, our batter on all of our dinners was the lightest we have ever experienced.....we drove in from Simcoe to dine here.....everything was homemade including the slaw, tartar sauce, fresh peeled chips, and mouth watering fish....Our service was equally as enjoyable, quick, happy servers that made you feel right at home....get there early there are line ups....and ps dont forget to try there homemade crepe's for dessert....WE WILL ALL BE DRIVING BACK FOR MORE....THANK-YOU PARKDALE FISH & CHIPS

Absolutely fantastic. For authentic european fish & chips, this is one of the best place to go in the area. Me and my girlfriend absolutely loved it. The fish and chips are a good size for the price, very filling. I love fritters and can never get enough of them here. And of course Irn Bru, the best drink in the world. Make sure to grab some if you decide to go here and eat. You won't be disappointed I'd recommend it to anyone.

The haddock was of good quality and tasty after finding it through all the batter. The portions of fish were small though but the chips, homemade, unpeeled..were plenty. The mushy peas were very good and so was the coleslaw, but the tarter sauce was quite icky. There was also a basket of sliced white bread and butter. We sat in a booth by the window and it was a nice, relaxing atmosphere.
