I came here for lunch a few months ago and was very impressed. We arrived just as the place opened up; the upstairs dining area had not been opened yet. Regardless, I asked if we could have a table on the upper level and the wait staff accommodated our request and opened up the upstairs area and we were given the option to have our choice of any table we wanted. We chose a table on the North side of the restaurant with a great view of the By-ward Market. My burger tasted a little dry but as I had never tried buffalo or bison before I didn't know if that was normal or not. Aside from that the atmosphere was so nice I probably would have even enjoyed a bad meal in that restaurant, sitting where I was.
I went to this restaurant to discover irish cuisine because I am going to Ireland with my school next June. I really had a great experience for my first time there. The food was delicious, the service was very good and the atmosphere was correct (but you have to know that we went for the brunch at 10 am on a saturday, so I am sure the atmosphere is much nicer at noon or for supper). Finally, I am sure everyone in the family will like it. It is perfect for a business reunion, family evening or birthday party with friends.
Excellent Lunch or Supper Location for any Occassion
I have actually visited the restaurant on at least three seperate occassions for company luncheons. The portions are large and the food is good. Overall, very good value for your money. The beer was cold and the service was excellent
Very nice location and ambience. We were there during the busy lunch period but service was really quick right up until the end when it took quite awhile just to get our bill. Sandwiches and wrap were all excellent but fries were only average.
Food looked good and tasted even better. Waitress was helpful and attentive but clearly overworked that evening. "Big Mojo" was the band later that night, also excellent. We didn't go downstairs, but upstairs was a lively pub atmosphere with traditional decor. Would appeal to wide age group.

2nd time eating there - great wings! They had a great Superbowl Party. Great service, prices, and atmosphere. Situated in the market square where there's lots to see & do. Tried this place summer of 2005 and loved the 2nd floor to overlook the market square. Busker Festival was right at that corner.
