Dinah Hampson, physiotherapist and owner of Pivot Sport Medicine Physiotherapy Orthopaedics (Pivot),radiates youthful vitality. She wears little makeup and her long blond hair is tied with an elastic band. She slices the air with her hands as she mimics a neck injury.
Her work space also hums of health. Pivot boasts 15 beds and 28 staff members who help rehabilitate injuries, with clients ranging from babies to the elderly. Posters of various Olympic events hang on the walls, signed by grateful athletes healed by Dinah and her colleagues. The floor is strewn with exercise equipment ranging from miniature trampolines to a towering weight station. One woman stretches her legs again and again against a fluorescent blue ribbon as her physiotherapist hovers attentively over her. “How do you feel?” the therapist wants to know. Pivot is radiating with healing potential.
