Born in 1968 Hyogo, Japan, Toshiharu began his journey into the world of Japanese cuisine at 14 years old. He's studied in different regions of Japan including Hyogo, Osaka and Kyoto. Toshiharu arrived in Canada in 1991 and started his career at Vancouver's Kibune Sushi (open since 1982), training under his master, Hideyoshi Endo. With the support of his colleagues and customers he pursued his training. In 2021, his dream turned into a reality with the opening of "Yugafu".

If you never tried OMAKASE this would be perfect res to visit and explore. Chef is super nice and approachable, service is excellent. After my first visit I immediately booked my second. YES, THEY ARE THAT GOOD. I was not expecting much based on the price they offered, but I was wrong. The quality and quantity they provided is way beyond my expectations. After my meal at Yugafu I don't think I would ever go to anywhere else
Reservation for 2025 (July to December) Omakase kaiseki is opening in March.25th between 11am to 3pm. We are closed March.25th but we take reservation through phone calls only and ongoing on our business day. Please leave a voicemail If we are unable to answer.

We accept reservations Wednesday to Sundays. We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays Max 2 reservations for the same group. Please pick the date carefully. If the number of guests in your party changes, we may need to ask you to a different date or time. We are unable to accommodate any food allergies or restrictions. We don’t have Vegetarian, Gluten free options.
