Done right, nachos are a thing of beauty. Warm tortilla chips with melted cheese in every bite, with fresh veggies and the perfect salsa, sour cream and guac. It’s heaven in every bite.
Their nachos consist of house-cut potato crisps with a blend of melted cheeses, mushrooms, bacon, tomatoes and green onions with house-made salsa. And if the bacon isn’t enough for you carnivorous fiends, you can add chicken or pulled pork to this monstrous plate to really “beef it up,” so to speak.
The pulled pork nachos here are not for the faint of heart. These bad boys are prepared with Underground’s Asian pulled pork and are stacked with fresh jalapeños, tomatoes, onions and loads and loads of cheese. You can get the vegetarian version but who are you kidding?
Lobster nachos. Have you ever had anything as wonderful as this? The lobster morsels are perfectly placed so that you get a taste with every bite. The three-cheese blend is melted on almost every tortilla chip, and the lemon dill sour cream adds just the right amount of citrus to offset the lobster.
Pub 1905 serves up traditional nachos with fresh corn tortillas layered with mushrooms, jalapeños and — get this — half-a-pound of mozzarella. This pub also makes special pulled pork nachos, as well. They’re the same as the traditional ones, except with melt-in-your-mouth smoked pulled pork, and banana peppers.
Julio’s makes ‘em right. They claim they’re good for two-to-four amigos; however, this amigo does not like to share. They are piled high with a Monterey jack and cheddar cheese blend, black olives, jalapenos, tomatoes and green onions and served with Julio’s salsa, sour cream and guac.
