This glamorous casino will host a buffet on New Year’s Eve. Fill up your belly with lobster bisque with crème fraiche, Alaskan snow crab, oysters, slow-roasted Alberta prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, rosemary roasted shoulder rack of Australian lamb, lemon pepper and herb crusted salmon, Canadian maple glazed pork, mini quiche, seafood mac and cheese, and more.

Located on Jasper Avenue, this restaurant is the ideal spot to enjoy a meal before heading out for New Year’s Eve celebrations in Churchill Square or a downtown bar. There will be a set menu only, with seven choices for appetizers and seven entrée options, plus dessert and tea or coffee for $48 a person. There are multiple two-hour seating windows, including 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

On the occasion of the hotel’s 100th New Year’s Eve party, guests can dress in their finest flapper costumes for a Gatsby Gala. Held in the Empire Ballroom, the party begins at 6:30 p.m., with a five-course dinner occurring at 7:30 p.m. There will be complimentary dance lessons, a photo booth and live music from Don Berner’s Band. The theme is the Roaring ‘20s and Dirty ‘30s, so period costume is encouraged. This adults-only party is one of the flashiest ways to ring in the New Year. Tickets are $191.50 per person, and tables hold eight or more guests.

Indulge in a seven-course meal at Share, the hotel’s elegant restaurant. Seatings can be booked between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Dinner costs $110 per person, or you can upgrade to include wine pairings for $150. The festive menu includes an amuse bouche of pumpkin panna cotta, roasted chestnut soup, a choice of wild salad or charred carrot salad, grilled pickerel or roasted beet risotto, poached Nova Scotia lobster or a caramelized onion tart tatin and Alberta bison rib or a polenta and parmesan soufflé. For dessert, enjoy either wild birch tree chomeur pudding or chocolate cremeux.

Edmonton’s only revolving restaurant will host two events New Year’s Eve. The first, an early dinner, has seatings for 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., and consists of an a la carte menu. The main event is a gala dinner, taking place from 8 p.m. till 1 a.m. Tickets for the gala are $200 a person and require advance payment. The menu includes lobster and fennel bisque, pistachio-crusted goat cheese with honey roasted beets and baby greens, baked sable fish, champagne sorbet, grilled bison tenderloin, a Sacher torte and handcrafted truffles.

This southside hotel offers a three-course meal for New Year’s Eve, taking place from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. The first course is a choice between avocado crab salad or tomato and red pepper bisque; entrée options include sterling silver beef tenderloin with saffron butter sauce and garlic potato mash, sea bass with citrus olive caper sauce and wild rice pilaf, chicken supreme with butternut squash puree and lentil ragout or vegetable Napoleon with tomato basil sauce and pan-fried potatoes. To cap off your meal, choose between hazelnut praline roche or strawberry marscapone charlotte (if you can!).
