A French-inspired bistro co-owned by a trained sommelier. In warm weather, Avec features a pleasant patio that’s perfect for kicking back on with a glass of something pink. The restaurant’s wine list features both a still and a sparkling rosé, which pair well with its contemporary bistro-style dishes.
Billed as a wine and snack bar, Pigeonhole has garnered significant attention for chef Justin Leboe’s innovative and often surprising small plates, and the restaurant also features a stellar wine list. Choose from rosés from France, the U.S. and Canada, including Bella sparkling rosé, which is becoming one of the Okanagan’s most buzzed-about wines.
With its slightly industrial-inflected location just off of McLeod Trail, stepping into Alloy is like stepping out of the city for a moment, making it an ideal place for a rosé escape. The wine list is as varied and interesting as chef Rogelio Herrera’s globally inspired menu, with quality still and sparkling rosés to choose from. Enjoy its lush, oasis-like patio in summer.
One of they city’s favourite cocktail bars (the fun and creative mixed drinks can contain anything from drinking vinegar to cotton candy), Bar C also offers a strong wine list featuring pours by the 50 ml glass, so you can sample a variety of vintages. There are a few rosés to choose from – drink as much or as little as you like, or mix and match with reds and whites.
Pizza is the central focus at Una – its thin-crust pies are delicious – but the wine part of the business is equally solid. Una’s wine list features a good half dozen still rosés (some available by the glass) as well as some sparkling varieties for those who prefer their pinks fizzy.
This Stephen Avenue Walk restaurant features local ingredients and sustainably caught seafood in its contemporary Canadian dishes, but owner Leslie Echino’s passion is wine. She personally oversees Blink’s lengthy but well-curated wine list. Several interesting rosés are available by the bottle as well as for sipping by the glass.
Located in the beautiful 1911 Dominion Bank building, Teatro’s wine cellar is in what was once the bank’s vault, so you know that the rosé is kept nice and cool. Teatro offers both still and sparkling rosés, In summer, enjoy them on the restaurant’s secluded patio overlooking Olympic Plaza.
