This is one of the best restaurants we have been to. The atmosphere is friendly, there is always something that everyone can enjoy whether you're 60 or 4 years old. if it's not on the menu, their wonderful chef and staff will make sure that you have what you would like. the service is warm and friendly and they remember your name. st veronus still has wonderful tasty food. I especially love the stoemp. BUT they no longer have a lunch menu- which means having lunch here is now much more expensive than it used to be (ie. the stew used to be $11 for lunch, now its $18 off the generic menu). because of this- I likely will only come here for dinner now as Peterborough has lots of other reasonably priced lunch options. HANDS DOWN, THE BEST BBQ I HAVE EVER HAD!!! RIBS ARE DONE IN a smoker, the way it should be, and the results are incredible. Full rack I ordered arrived on a gleaming white platter and the sides arrived in little bowls because the rack took up all the room. Lots of beers on tap, nice patio. Highly recommended Lire plus

Wonderful experience. Atmosphere is beautiful, good food, staff is always so friendly. Good deal when they have the early bird special. Went in October. The man that served my family had a darker complexion, very friendly and charismatic! Had a unique name that I wish I could remember. He joked around with us and gave my brother a free dessert for his birthday. Absolutely want to go back and have him serve us again... he was honestly the best waiter Ive ever had. Lire plus

I like this place, though I wish there were more vegetarian options in the menu (in fact, they're shrinking: the portobello mushroom burger has disappeared!). That said, the servers are very pleasant, helpful, and energetic, the place is nice, with a few different atmospheres available (the pub, the restaurant, the patio), and the food is mostly very good. The veggie curry, at $10, is a good deal, though the curry spicing is better some days than others; beware the green salad, which is nothing but greens — other salads are better, and the dips are nice. Nice selection of beers, by the way. They often have some great live music, and then there's the jar of jellybeans on your way out.... Lire plus
