One of the most rewarding parts of optometrist Dr. George Fung's job is revealing a whole new world to patients — bringing colours and shapes into sharper focus. It's an experience he remembers having himself as a child in Ontario, when he started wearing glasses and visited an optometrist regularly. "I didn't realize how important vision is until I got into schooling," Fung says.
He selected a career that perfectly fit his personality and lifestyle, because it appeals to his analytical nature and his interest in the medical aspect of visual health. He also believes Alberta is the most progressive province in terms of how optometrists can practice. Fung opening his own practice, Browz Eyeware, in South Trail Crossing in 2002.
