It's a little known fact that you can't be sad when you're holding a cupcake. That just might explain why Tracy Dueck is full of joy. Since opening Tracycakes Bakery Café more than 10 years ago, the talented baker and businesswoman has had a hand in making more than 1.8 million cupcakes.

When Tracy first opened Tracycakes in 2006, her first quandary was deciding what kind of business model she envisioned."I didn't want customers to just buy baked goods and leave," she admits. "I'm all about impacting people, hoping I leave a good impression and sharing experiences with them. I wanted to create a place for people to sit and enjoy themselves, whether it was to have lunch, High Tea, or something sweet, so I opened a combination bakery café."

Today, Tracy operates two Tracycakes locations: one in downtown Abbotsford and one in Langley's Murrayville neighbourhood.

    Was not impressed...

    Was not impressed. Took my mom for high tea, waited 15 minutes for our "Tea", and that was with a reservation. When we "finally" got our "high tea", it was not impressive, WAY TOO expensive for what you got. Dishes clattering all the time we were there, very bland decor, needed more lace and flowers if it was to be anything like a high tea parlor. Would not do it again.!!! The cost of it, should have been for two not per! TOO expensive!
