Find that special gift for someone is always a challenge – one that Giving Gifts & Company aims to solve. The store is a unique shopping experience in the space of a single cooperative store, with about 20 different vendors selling a variety of items, from new and vintage clothing to handmade soaps and cards, kids toys and books, pottery housewares and decorative items.

All items are are local, handmade or fair trade, following the philosophy of Lisa Pozin, the cooperative’s owner and organizer. “I sought out all these great products and felt like I could bring them together and create a store based on that concept – one where everything is fair trade, eco-friendly, and has a good purpose behind it, some meaning behind why we are buying it,” she says. “All the products I have online and also sell at the store are paired with specific charities.”

Lisa says that her store is for anybody who appreciates and values buying directly from the artist that made the item, or buying items that are good for the earth and fair-trade-made. “Supporting small business is a huge part of shopping at our store. You’re supporting the makers directly.”
