Suki's South Granville Salon & Spa

Suki’s Salon on South Granville is organized by department, which is unusual for a hair salon unless it’s at the top of the industry. “Specializing lets you become a little bit better,” says owner Ken Takagi with a wink.

Offering hair styling services for men and women (including cut, colour and specialty treatments), Suki’s is adamant about in-depth education. "Comprehensive skills create a strong foundation...so we teach the theory behind hairdressing as well as advanced techniques” Ken explains.

The established Vancouver salon has an outstanding reputation in the industry and is home to some of the city's best hair and colour specialists, all of who use advanced techniques to create flawless styles. In addition to its stunning South Granville flagship, Suki’s also has locations in Kitsilano, Downtown (at the corner of Georgia and Burrard, in South Surrey and Richmond, plus a second brand, Pop Opera salon, in Yaletown and an educational academy on West Georgia.

The salon's diverse clientele sometimes spans three generations, with stylists attracting clients with their individual talents and unique personalities. And while the Suki’s brand is focused on high quality and exceptional service, some stylists have become a brand unto themselves. “Our team members are becoming stars of their own and they carry the brand with them,” Ken explains.
