My wife and I have dined at the Waterfront on several occassions and have always found the food and service to be first-class and the atmosphere is always friendly. They have both a formal dining room overlooking the harbour as well as a bar/lounge area where entertainment is usually scheduled on Friday and Saturday nights. You can order the same menu items in both areas but the bar sometimes has a more relaxed menu. They also have a large room upstairs for parties, etc. and an extensive deck on the second level which is a great place to view the harbour in good weather. Prices are reasonable and what you would expect of a fine-dining restaurant and they are one of the few restaurants that serve Oyster's Rockefeller, for those of us who enjoy those. The menu is extensive with all the usual favourites and the food is well prepared and presented.
The beer selection is very limited. The food is OK. Amazing fries. Probably the best anywhere. The only real atraction is the view from the patio which opens and closes at the oddest times. Beatiful view of the lake and marina. If they stepped up their taps to include more imports and expanded their food selection the place would be unsurpassed. Go for the view and a burger but not much else. The owner is Greek so the suvlaki and greek salads are quite good also.
For Fine dining, I do not recommend this place. The house salad, was nothing more than 'salad out of the bag'. The appetizer(saganaki) was good,however the waiter failed to serve it properly. The main course was alright, but definitley not worth the price.
