Bad service. Don't waste you money. Food was very tasty, but the attitude of the hostess attitude will certainly put you off your meal.
Food was amazing, had the blackened trout and it was delicious. The prices are reasonable and even more so considering the quality. Staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is suitable to be well dressed, however, we visited on return from a camping trip Tobermory and received not a single awkward look. Even better, the staff squeezed us in without a reservation and was very welcoming.
We recently purchased a weekend home in the Clarksburg area and are so happy to have found this little gem tucked away on the main street of Thornbury. It's so funky, especially now with the nice weather. There's a garage door that pulls up, so you get the lovely air from outside, minus the sun and bugs on patios. The little accents around the restaurant add a neat touch as well, loads of candles burning at night against exposed brick walls. The food was absolutely gorgeous, definately worth the little wait once it was presented to us. The service was fun and pleasant, we had a younger girl who kept us in stitches. This is our new place to bring our cities friends when they come for a visit!
This is the fourth time I have either eaten at Sisi or had food to take out. They are consistent, delicious and true to a fine dining experience. The service is understanding, always willing to accomodate the changes we request and unfailingly gracious. Andrew Barber the chef is worth watching for food preparation, selection and presentation, a real treat all around worth every penny we spent there. Just as a note, they offer a 24 dollar prix fixe so the eating could have been cheaper than the 126 dollar bill we paid for food and wine.
This was the worst service we had ever had at a restaurant. The restaurant was severly understaffed and as a result we were frequently 'forgotten' about thoughout our meal. We specifically requested separate bills before we ordered anything (we had three separate couples in our party) which they were not able to do at the end of the night. We were bullied by other patrons who were waiting for our table and asked to leave the table before dinner was over by the owner because of the other group. Overall, terrible experience. Our prior experiences at Sisi's weren't that bad but after this, and writing a 4-page letter to the owner the next day which we still haven't received a response to, we won't ever go back there.
