My husband and I recently decided it in May 2013 that we wanted to redo our condominium in West Vancouver. Through word of mouth we found AYW Management and started speaking with them.
Right away the owner of the company called us and we met in their office in Dundarave. The owner went through his template for costs divided into various sections, and he guided us in the right direction for project renovation pre-planning a couple months before we started our reno.
Even though we had picked out all of our finishes - handles, cabinets, etc, there was still an extensive list of items that we weren’t even thinking about.
AYW made it so that we were organized before our reno, and the good thing was, if we weren’t organized, the reno would’ve taken at least two months longer, but the fact that we had everything ordered and waiting for us just at the beginning of the reno really made things easier.
The other area where AYW really helped us with was the scheduling of our project. What happened is, other people were telling us we could do the job faster, when AYW started looking at the schedule, they showed us very quickly that it was going to take longer. And they were correct.
In order for us to complete our renovation within budget, and have everything finished properly, we extended our schedule so this made it easier for everybody. It was a realistic schedule developed by AYW because we had concerns about how long the job would take us to do, and the fact that we may go over budget.
We worked with AYW and it cost-plus basis and they were a pleasure to deal with. What made everything special was that they were organized in advance, and that all the trades were there as scheduled. We were only three days later than our five month schedule had planned to bring everything together.
