To begin, this is a very clean, beautiful and trendy spot. The coffee is good and the aestheticians working on clients are very kind, professional and talented. Where my issues with this business lay with the reception desk and owner of the nail bar. We had a wedding party getting ready a few weeks ago, it was very exciting because it was the first time we could be together due to covid. Fantastic service and such a cool place! I always look forward to see Brent once a month to get my hair done. I’m always greeted with exceptional customer service and leave feeling and looking like a million bucks. Where else can get get your hair done, order a meal or appetizer and get a mani while sipping on a glass of wine. I highly recommend this place and look forward to my next visit ?
Distilled Beauty Bar and Social house is a must to visit. They treat you like a queen as soon as you enter their doors. I have had many services done here and they are exceptional. I always book with a young lady named Sabrina. She is very professional and knowledgeable about the services she provides. I have enjoyed a nice glass of wine while i get my manicures and pedicures done. I recently got gel nails done and i have gotten so many compliments on them. They truely make you feel special.
Way over priced. Multiple staff seemed to hate life and the vibe was low. My nails were so badly shaped that I left and had to re-do them myself. I’ve had wayyyy better services for a fraction of the price! I even asked for a specific type of polish and the girl I was put with had no idea how to do it. Not at all worth the price!
Don't waste your money! I went here for a pedicure with a girlfriend. We were excited of the concept but very disappointed. The reality is they are way over priced. If I'm paying spa prices I expect an amazing experience. The staff were not very welcoming and didn't seem that professional. I was very upset that there wasn't even water to soak your feet? It was just so strange. Plus not just one of us but BOTH of us had our toe cut. Will not be returning.
What a great spot. My girlfriends and I came for mani-pedi's and ended up spending another two hours on the coffee house for drinks and snacks! It is a beautiful spot, and finally a place that offers dry pedicures!
I had a pedicure and I was disappointed with the service and it's definitely not worth $65. I was in & out in 30 minutes. Manicurist was not friendly and did not take her time. It was not a feel good service. I would not recommend Distilled beauty bar for pedicure.
None of the staff nor the owner presented a professional demeanour, nor appreciated the role of customer service in a business. In discussion with other women in and around Calgary, the majority of the experiences were disappointing. Think twice before booking, but if you do, don't expect to be treated with care and attention.
Excellent coffee and food, the elk salami flat bread is one of my personal favorites then I can wash it all down with a cold beer, overall great experience
This place does so many things right, the food the coffee, and the decor. Also for these comments that say no foot soaks they do offer them as well ? The nail technicians are very friendly and respectful. The drinks are delivered in a timely fashion what more could you ask for ?
I was so disappointed by this place. First of all it's WAY over priced, the pedicure was $60, they didn't even do a foot soak, not a huge selection of nail polish, the girl doing my toes was not welcoming or inviting at all, didn't even come by after to see if my nails were dry or say thanks for coming in. The decor is nice, but I will not be returning and not recommending this place. When paying that much you want to leave feeling WOW and like it was a special experience.
Very disapointing. The space is fine, but the service - well it just is not there. And THERE IS NO WATER FOR THE PEDICURES! No foot soaks? Who knew this was possible? The selection of nail colours was limited and our first five - 5! choices were not available. They advertised a daily special price, but we didn't get it.
They said they would bring us menus, but no, we had to ask twice for them. They took our coats, but we had to wait and ask to get them back. And more, or, I mean less.
We loved our first experience, however, as it goes sequential experience trumps prior. We were just in for a little girls date and we're very disappointed with the customers service. Our esthericians were not welcoming, warm or engaging. We understand that sometimes groups or people do not wish to chat too much with there service provider, however, that certainly does not warrant cold, disengaged and grumpy behaviour. We think with a warmer attitude, this business can be very successful.
I want to love this place but I just can't! Every time I have been there the service is subpar bordering on brutal. The place is beautiful. If they put as much attention to the details of the services as they did into the interior design details it would be a fantastic place. BUT the haven't. Come on, hire some professional, qualified staff who can provide quality service with a professional can-do attitude or you'll never last.
Not only is the atmosphere amazing, the people who work there and their customer service is beyond exceptional...not to mention you are getting great quality services (best mani and pedi ive probably ever had).
