Sorry to hear about you coat!! We take that very seriously at Franks. We have in the past taken calls and always have dealt with our customers in a very professional manner. I would advise to all bar partrons not to coat check an expensive coat. As far as food goes in Franks, yes I would agree that the food has not been 5 star but just recently we have brought on a new menu and we believe that the food has improved dramtically. People don't expect fine dinning this is a bar. Furthermore we have been around for 9 years and our kitchen is open till 2am. We do have a limited menu from 11pm to 2am. It is my mandate to improve the overall expereince at Franks!! This does include Food!! We hope people will give us another try!! Our atmosphere, service, and live music is always on the ball.

Me and my buddies watched the gold medal game (yes, THE gold medal game) and we were treated very well. The wings are AMAZING! And at 30 cents each, very affordable.
I agree with the general consensus that they should really serve Labatt's products, or at least Budweiser.
The place is a bar, and there are really bad times to go (IE Thursdays, or other times when the UOG athletes are huddled 3-4 guys per girl) but coming here to watch the game, listen to some great bands, and have fun is always (not thursday) a good idea.

Honestly, you need to do SOMETHING about the food. I understand you cater more to poor students who don't care about food, but come on! How hard is it to make good fries? And a decent burger? Think of the $$ you would make!

One of the best Bison Burgers I have ever eaten, ...and a friendly, courteous and helpful staff. The rating should be a LOT higher, than what I see on this site."
